What is a Perfect Number?
A historical maths proof, first studied by the Ancient Greeks, a Perfect Number is defined as a number that is equal to the sum of its factors, excluding itself. Meaning, if you list out all the numbers that divide evenly into your chosen number (other than itself), and then add them up — the total is the original number.
Why do Perfect Numbers matter?
Though seeming like another quirky piece of mathematical theory, Perfect numbers have actually had large technological and socio-historical roles. For example:

28 is a perfect number as 1 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 = 28.
a) Prove that 496 is a perfect number.
b) Find another perfect number smaller than 28.
