Why Knoji?

I teach at Knoji because of the great community, great vibes and of course, great students. Mentoring them (and hearing all their crazy stories) is the best part of the job!

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Procrastination and I go way back. But what I’ve learnt is that small steps get you to the finish line much faster than one giant, panicked leap! Also, if you’re a reels addict like me, put your phone outside your room when you study.

What's your superpower?

Turning brain rot into brain power.

In the Knoji classroom, there was no silly questions and no boring English texts!

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Study smarter, not harder - sometimes writing the most detailed and pretty notes is not worth it. And to make doing practice papers the bible of studying - active recall is where it is at, even if it is more uncomfortable than passive recall/simply rereading notes.

What's your superpower?

Acing the meaning of an English text after skim-reading it for 2 minutes.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

A study tip I would give to my younger self is re-doing my exam papers in a timed environment and making sure I could get full marks so that I was confident I fully understood the topics.

What's your superpower?

Staying calm in timed environments/ time crunches.

Why Knoji?

I teach at Knoji because it gives me an opportunity to instil confidence in students who need direction and guidance with their learning. In the Knoji classroom, we have interesting and collaborative discussions on a variety of topics that helps students form opinions and insights on questions and ideas.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

I would urge myself to seek help when I need it and not be shy to admit gaps in my learning. I was a shy student and would always try to find solutions to seemingly impossible problems on my own, but waste time and energy in the process. If I had admitted I was struggling with certain concepts and questions and sought help, I would have greatly benefited and possibly achieved quicker results.

I can manipulate time to fit in every task I need to complete within a short time frame.

I teach at Knoji because it fosters a supportive community where students develop confidence through deep understanding, not just memorisation. I prioritise mentorship and critical thinking, helping students grow academically and personally.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

I’d tell my younger self to stay consistent with note-taking—keep a separate quick-notes book for each subject, summarizing key concepts along with exam tips and tricks. This makes revision easier and more effective. Most importantly, balance academics with extracurriculars and a social life, because long-term success comes from both knowledge and well-being.

Making people believe I have everything under control… even when I don’t.

Why Knoji?

Knoji gives me the opportunity to develop my skills as a teacher and communicator. I've been able to actualise the classroom environment and rapport I would want as a student, and have been grateful to serve my classes in providing meaningful lessons and material.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Focus on developing your character and support systems. Its far easier to tackle your educational struggles when your mental, social and physical health is properly prioritised as well. Maintain a strong passion for learning through time dedicated to extracurriculars. Knowledge is VIRTUE.
