Why Knoji?

As a Knoji tutor, I promise to help foster students’ potential in school subjects. Knoji is a community where teachers and students create safe and encouraging study environments. In the Knoji classroom, students learn to enjoy school subjects as well as improve in different areas.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Don’t procrastinate. It doesn’t matter how much you get done on the first day; at least look at the assignment and note down the key terms and criteria. Complete the assignment in little steps each day rather than doing everything in one night.

What's your superpower?

Ability to read the emotional temperature of the room—confusion, boredom, nervousness. I know when students need a break or require more engagement.

In the Knoji classroom, there is no such thing as a dumb question. I love curiosity and hope to foster it in class.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Revision is king! Explaining difficult maths concepts and talking through questions with friends can be a great way to revise.

What's your superpower?

Deducting marks every time the origin is not labelled on a graph.

Revision is the key to success. Even if you perfectly understand something immediately after learning, only revision will allow you to continue understanding it in the future.

What's your superpower?

Being able to quickly regain composure in unexpected situations.

In the Knoji classroom, I make sure that each student is cared for and understands the material, while still making it a safe and an enjoyable experience.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Remember to stay consistent. Studying isn’t something that ends after a week or a month. It’s something that has to be done for your entire life - so take care of yourself, study little steps consistently. Try to find the fun in it somehow too, it makes the journey a whole lot better!

What's your superpower?

My brain can automatically organise all information - and prioritise tasks in order 🙂 Like a super computer! Haha!

I teach at Knoji because it fosters a good environment for both tutors and students. The small classes encourage a tight-knit, personalised environment catering for students at various levels of understanding.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Start doing past-papers earlier. It really helps to build repetition with questions you may see in your exams while getting you comfortable with actually tackling more complex questions.

What's your superpower?

Being able to spawn food on command.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Good mental & physical health = better study habits: Good mental and physical health improve focus, memory, and energy levels, making studying more effective. Managing stress and getting enough sleep help prevent burnout and enhance cognitive function. Healthy habits also promote discipline and consistency, leading to better study routines and academic success.

What's your superpower?

I work way better under immense amounts of pressure than no pressure

Why Knoji?

I teach at Knoji because they value both academic success and empowerment, guiding students towards taking control of their own learning. As a tutor, I create a classroom environment where students leverage their strengths to overcome challenges. I encourage rewriting any task you get; group discussions, fostering collaboration to find solutions; and I always welcome questions to ensure everyone feels supported in their learning.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Success is not linear and that's okay. Some exams you will do better in than others; always talk to your teacher's about the work, take on the feedback, implement it and keep trying until you get it right.

What's your superpower?

Getting people excited over things they know nothing about - I'm a very animated yapper.
