Why Knoji?

I teach at Knoji because I love helping students feel proud of what they achieve. In the Knoji classroom, it’s about building confidence just as much as skills. I believe Knoji is a community where encouragement and growth go hand in hand.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Try and romanticise what you’re learning - it’s always tougher to pay attention and learn something if you’re going into a lesson expecting it to be boring.

What's your superpower?

Being able to read something and instantly memorise it.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Stop trying to make your notes pretty before you understand them! Understanding matters more than colour coding (but don’t worry, pastel highlighter still have a place).

Turning “I can’t do it” into “wait maybe I can!”

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Small, steady effort makes a big difference over time. You don’t need to study for hours, just do a little bit every day. It’s the habit that builds momentum.

What's your superpower?

Peace of mind. I always bring peace and calmness to stressful situations.

Knoji is a community where all aspects of our students’ education is valued. Because of this, I find that community at Knoji is one where students are encouraged to ask questions, seek advice, and consider their education from several perspectives. This makes the learning experience more fulfilling for both students and tutors.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Always ask for help when you need it. I firmly believe we do not achieve anything alone, and that other people’s assistance and knowledge can always help you improve.

What's your superpower?

Turning paralysis into action - that is, finding what a problem is, and making a plan to resolve it.

Being able to stay calm and work the fastest when I'm under pressure.

Get it done early! Spacing things out makes the stress smaller and the learning stick better.

Why Knoji?

I teach at because I wanted to help high school students achieve their best. I think that a good teacher can truly set you up for success, now and in the future. I just want to be one of those teachers a student looks back at fondly.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Just stick to the program, practice, practice and practice. If you're ever in doubt, practice some more. That being said, never be afraid of asking your teachers when you're confused. They're teachers for a reason.

What's your superpower?

I think I operate well under pressure. Particularly in exam-like conditions. That's something I try to teach my students how to do as well.

Why Knoji?

As a Knoji tutor, I don't only want to make sure that my students can do the best that they possibly can, but ensure to give them the details and advice that no teachers could possibly offer for development in and outside of the classroom. In the classroom, I make sure that I can deliver at all levels and go the extra mile when offering feedback to student's work.

If you could give one study tip to your younger self, what would it be and why?

Putting something down on the paper will always be better than not putting anything down.
